Eligibility Requirements: Minimum 2.0 grade point average the previous semester with no more than 1 F. Maintaining satisfactory progress toward graduation. Maintaining a 70% average during 6 week grading period. No Failures during the weekly grade check.
Time Commitment: Required practice will be Monday through Friday from 3:00 until 5:00. Competition requirements will be outlined at the beginning of the season but will include some weekday as well as several Saturday mornings.
Activity Time Period: Season begins in August and concludes in November.
Location: Ruskin High Baseball Field
Procedures for Joining: Attend camp June 14-June 16 and then be present on the first day of practice August 9.
Description: Softball (fast pitch) is an athletic event for girls. It plays to rules similar to baseball. The ball is bigger but the competition is fierce and much more fun.
Membership Limit: Unlimited
Varsity Letter: Each Varsity member will receive a letter for completing the season on the Varsity level. Each Coach reserves the right to deny a letter to any athlete that is incorrigible or violates team rules.
