Schedule: RHS Men’s Varsity Tennis Schedule

Eligibility Requirements:   Minimum 2.0 grade point average the previous semester with no more than 1 F. Maintaining satisfactory progress toward graduation. Maintaining a 70% average during 6 week grading period. No Failures during the weekly grade check.

Time Commitment:  Required practice will be Monday through Friday.  May also have some Saturday Track Meets. Times vary.  Other requirements and obligations as mandated by Head Coach.

Activity Time Period:  Season begins in March and extends through May.

Location:  District Tennis Courts and Minor Park Tennis Courts

Procedures for Joining:   Attend a week long tennis camp in summer or preseason practice at the beginning of season.

Description: Tennis is a sport usually played between two players (singles) or between two teams of two players each (doubles). The game is usually played with a strung racquet and a small ball.  Good hand eye coordination is needed as several skills must be acquired in order to be proficient as well as competitive.  Consistent practice is extremely important for one to grow into a competent player.  Poise, manners and sportsmanship are basic attributes that can be developed by all players when learning the game.

Membership Limit:  14-20

Varsity Letter: Each Varsity member will receive a letter for completing the season on the Varsity level.  Each Coach reserves the right to  deny a letter to any athlete that is incorrigible or violates team rules.
