Description:  The Cappies are a student critic organization that sees area high school productions, writes reviews over those productions, and nominates shows, performers, designers, and crew for awards at an end of the year gala.  The Theater Department participates in the Kansas City Cappies Program with our team of students, thereby making   our  productions eligible for these awards.  Students are required to see 5 shows each  year and write reviews over those productions.  The adult mentors at each production then select  the best reviews to be submitted to area papers for publication.  This is a great activity for those students who enjoy theater and writing.
